I was really expecting that the press conferences at this years E3 would be vastly different in terms of quality. I was all set to do a comic about one company mercilessly beating another. But then the actual events were pretty much all good.

The Microsoft one showed a bunch of great games and a damn cool new peice of tech. The Sony presser had GoW3 and some neat new titles. And their glowing penis motion controller thing. Nintendo was a vast improvement over last year and despite their use of charts and boring statistics still managed to keep me interested with core game announcements galore.

What did you guys think of them? Lemme know in the comments down below or the forum.

Microsoft in no way won the show. Their “Tech” was lame. Facebook integration, yeah i could get that on the ps3 3 years ago. Netflix was cool. However the show goes to sony. GoW III, Uncharted 2, Gran Turismo 5 and the list goes on. Uncharted 2 looks to be even better than the first, which would make it one of the best games of all time.

I suppose this is where we differ on opinions, sir. GoW3 doesn’t really excite me all that much the more I see of it and Gran Turismo 5 I couldn’t care less about. I agree the facebook and twitter integration is daringly lame. I do share your love of Uncharted though and it does look to be an easy Game of the Year 2009 pick for me. Day one purchase right there. On the 360 though, I adored Crackdown 1 and Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow I really liked so seeing those games’ sequels certainly swayed my favor.

GoW3 doesn’t excite you? Do you even have a pulse anymore? Crackdown one was awesome, Splinter Cell is nothing but metal gear light. Project Natal was retarded, and despite sony’s motion controller looking like a glowing dildo the tech was impressive AND IT WAS ALREADY DEVELOPED!

2 games was all it took to sway your favor? I think you are misjudging the show. For strength of upcoming software and hardware line up sony came out all guns a blazing and microsoft didn’t bring its A-game.
