Virulent Marketing

By Evan on November 4th, 2009

Someone at Activision thought that releasing a pop song filled rehash of Guitar Hero would be a good move to compete against Lego Rock Band.

It makes sense, as long as you don’t think about the fact that they also released DJ Hero one week previously.

Also, can you imagine if companies started sending out fake store employees to hawk their games over others? I’m sure someone’s marketing department’s toyed with that idea.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Lego ends up taking over the video game world entirely. I mean sure they had a rocky start back in the day but the Lego Starwars/Indianna Jones and Batman games caught on a lot of attention and now Lego Rock Band? What’s next? Lego Modern Warfare? Left4DeadLego? Lego Street Fighter?! Actually.. that might work…. haha.
